DJ 3000 Celebrates 15 years of Motech with New Compilation and EP’s
Fifteen years have passed since DJ 3000 embarked on establishing Motech as an outlet channeling something unique in the Detroit Techno realm. The label has consistently balanced the virtues of fostering strong relationships and bringing new inspiring talent into the fold.
For the second 12” EP to celebrate 15 years DJ 3000 teams up with non other than tech-funk mad man himself (Paris The Black Fu) for some catchy “Just Work It” vocals combined with DJ 3000’s Detroit Techno Jackin style he’s been champion for years. Fellow Detroiter DJ Nasty flips the remix into a dirty ghetto style version thats perfect tempo to fit into a techno or house sets.
On the flip side of the 12” DJ 3000 produces a second song we like to think fits right in the middle of chicago and dirty detroit techno, think Robert Hood meets Alden Tyrell. To round off the EP “Get It” gets a remix from non other than Chambray who just released his debut album via Detroits own Jimmy Edgars Ultramajic label. Chambray turns out the remix is into a sweaty long builder thats a perfect fit to any house or tech DJ.
For our ten year anniversary we noted that “we are setting forth to celebrate 10 years of independence, creativity and vision.” That’s as true now as it was then, and we look forward to sharing the next hundred forward thinking releases.
